A YEAR OF SUCCESS FOR NISSAN
Nissan has launched more new cars in 2000 than in any previous year. The first of these new models was the British built Almera in March followed by its sister model, the Almera Tino in August. The final model to be launched this year is the new Maxima QX, which goes on sale on 17 October.
2000 has also been a year for awards and achievements for Nissan products including the new Almera and Almera Tino models. These include:
· Compact Diesel of the Year 2000 for the new Almera by Diesel Car magazine
· The Primera was voted one of the most secure family cars in the Auto Express giant security test
· The Primera was voted most environmentally friendly family car by the Association for Transport and Environment of Switzerland
· The Almera and Almera Tino were voted most secure small hatchback and most secure compact MPV in the What Car? giant security test
· The Almera Tino was voted the safest MPV in the Auto Express Safety Test
· The Terrano II was voted best used off-roader for under £10,000 in the annual What Car? Used Car Awards
