REGIONAL PLUMBING & HEATING AND CLEANING FIRMS TAKE DELIVERY OF NISSAN VANS

  • Bournemouth-based dry cleaning business Barker Group Ltd orders seven vans on three-year Nissan Business Finance contract hire package
  • West Midlands firm Vinshire Plumbing and Heating Ltd add 11 NV200 models to its fleet
  • Vans chosen for their superior value for pence-per-mile operation

Regional businesses Barker Group Ltd and Vinshire Plumbing and Heating have ordered Nissan LCVs to add to their fleets.

Barker Group, the long established laundry and dry cleaning company, will now use six Primastars and one NV400 on a three-year Nissan Business Finance contract hire package. These heavily liveried vehicles will cover the southern counties including some blue chip clients in London.

The vehicles were chosen by Barker Group after a search to find a better value alternative to the Mercedes LCVs that were previously on its fleet. A detailed presentation led by Nissan Westway Fleet Operations revealed the Nissan vehicles selected offer the best value for pence-per-mile operation.

Matthew Barker, Barker Group managing director said: "We're really excited by the new partnership with Nissan that will allow us to grow our business even further. As well as offering fantastic value for money we've received great early feedback from drivers about the performance and versatility of the vehicles."

Vinshire has added 11 NV200s to its fleet which it hopes to use for five years. They will be used across the East Midlands by both the company's maintenance and installation engineers. Vehicles driven by maintenance engineers are expected to cover up to 20,000 miles a year with service engineers covering less than that.

Vinshire responded to the demands of its ever-growing business and began a search to add to its fleet with vehicles that are not only reliable but would also keep its drivers in comfort and safety.

Simon Burdell, Vinshire Plumbing & Heating Ltd quality control manager said: "The NV200s have proved to be a great addition to our fleet and are ideal for the needs of both our maintenance and installation engineers. The feedback has been universally positive so far with the ordering of more vehicles from Nissan a real possibility."

Barry Beeston, Nissan corporate sales director commented:  "The NV200, NV400 and Primastar are ideal vans for any business requiring comfortable and reliable transport. It is a testament to the versatility and performance of these vehicles that these established local businesses are putting their trust in Nissan and we are very much looking forward to working with them."
