NISSAN MICRA – MAN’S BEST FRIEND?

Nissan has confirmed its status as solus supplier of vehicles to one of the largest independent veterinary groups in Europe with an order for 26 Micras.

Best Friends Group operates 27 veterinary practices across the South East of England and relies heavily on its fleet of Micras to transport its staff, and four-legged patients, between surgeries.

The fleet of Micras, all 1.2S models, replace a batch of one-year-old Micras purchased at the end of 2003. Commenting on the new fleet, Andrew Bennett, Director Principal and founder of Best Friends Group said: “We have been thrilled with the quality of the new Micras since we purchased the first batch of 30 in 2003, they have proven to be a popular vehicle with our staff, extremely reliable and look good to boot!

“The Micra holds its value well and it is a good time for us to part exchange our ’53 models.”

Mr Bennett is particularly impressed with the vehicle’s flexible interior, which includes adjustable rear seats and makes transporting animals hassle free.

It is not only the Micra that has made its mark on Best Friends Group; the Almera, Primera and Pickup also make appearances on the company’s fleet and are equally popular vehicles.

Mr Bennett concludes: “Nissan is able to provide us with a wide range of vehicles to meet our needs – all of the vehicles are hassle free, allowing us to focus on the job in hand.”

The vehicles have been purchased via Smiths Group in Peterborough and will travel across the South of England; mileage will be varied due to the range of distances that the vehicles travel.

David Murfitt, Fleet Sales Director, Nissan Motors (GB) said: “It is always encouraging when our customers come back to us time and time again to fulfil their fleet needs and Best Friends Group’s latest order confirms the popularity and flexibility of the Micra as a small fleet car. We have been able to service many of the Group’s needs thanks to the range of vehicles available and thank them for their continued support.”
