UPGRADED TERRANO II VAN JOINS THE NISSAN RANGE

Nissan’s established light commercial vehicle, the Terrano II Van, now has a new look, upgraded specification and redesigned interior.  This practical four-wheel drive van has been given a fresh appearance and increased commercial appeal and, at only £14,500 (ex VAT), is still the best value for money vehicle of its type on the market.

Styling changes made to the Terrano II Van include a new front grille, stylish new tail light clusters and new interior including two-tone dashboard and contemporary new trims.  The specification upgrade includes map lamps, 3x12v power sockets, digital trip meter and odometer, personal lamp in central lower pocket and net pockets on the back door.

Built at Nissan’s Barcelona plant, the Terrano II Van competes against the Land Rover Defender, Land Rover Freelander van and Isuzu Trooper van. As capable off road as it is on, the next generation Terrano II Van has been priced very competitively. The basic price including delivery is just £14,500 (excluding VAT), considerably less than most of its 4x4 rivals.

The Terrano II Van is aimed at customers who require the load capacity of a light commercial vehicle with the capability of a four-wheel drive vehicle. The selectable four-wheel drive system offers the same options as those in the Terrano II passenger vehicle.

The transfer lever gives the option of high ratio two-wheel drive for everyday highway driving and high or low ratio four-wheel drive to provide optimum traction and towing ability on all surfaces. It is possible to change from two-wheel drive to high ratio four-wheel drive while on the move. The Terrano II Van offers standard automatic free running hubs so the driver does not have to leave the cabin to lock the front wheel hubs for off road driving. A limited-slip rear differential is also standard.

Last year, 12 per cent of 4x4s sold in the UK were "light utility vehicles" and the market has remained steady since 1993.
