• All-new 1.7-litre diesel and 1.3-litre petrol engines now on sale in Nissan X-Trail crossover SUV
  • Six-speed manual, CVT and Dual Clutch Transmission all available
  • 2WD and 4WD choices mean there’s an X-Trail to suit every need
  • Drive Assist option pack on sale now with ProPILOT introduced later in 2019

LONDON, UK (June 20th, 2019) – Family adventures are now better than ever thanks to a complete powertrain upgrade in the Nissan X-Trail crossover SUV.

It means getting away to the great outdoors is more efficient, with reduced CO2 emissions and improved fuel economy across the revised range.

X-Trail customers can choose from two engines – one petrol, one diesel – linked to three transmissions – a six-speed manual, a CVT auto, or a seven-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).

The introduction of the Drive Assist pack – offered as a £495 option on Tekna versions – adds a greater level of control to the X-Trail line-up with ProPILOT arriving to automatic versions later in 2019.

The two systems provide advanced driver-assistance in single-lane driving on highways. The technology helps maintain the car’s lane position and distance from the vehicle in front, making highway and traffic driving easier, less stressful and more relaxing.

Featuring Intelligent Lane Intervention, Intelligent Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist, the Drive Assist Pack is capable of most ProPILOT features except the ability to come to a complete stop and then resume driving in traffic.

With the option of two-wheel-drive for those who rarely venture off-road and four-wheel drive for those who need additional traction, the upgraded Nissan X-Trail is the perfect SUV for active families who love the outdoors.

The new diesel engine is a 1.7-litre dCi 150 PS unit. It’s available in 2WD and 4WD, and with a six-speed manual or CVT automatic gearbox.

The new petrol engine is a 1.3-litre DIG-T 160 PS unit, available in 2WD and with a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). New to the X-Trail line-up, the DCT provides customers with a sporty and more direct dynamic experience, improved standing-start performance and smoother power delivery.

The DCT features electrical on-demand cooling and electro-mechanic gear actuation to improve efficiency. It provides clear benefits to customers – both private and fleet – as the driver experiences an immediate gear shift with no power interruptions. The absence of a torque converter creates a more direct driving feeling, making it more fun to drive.

All new X-Trail powertrains meet the latest Euro6d-Temp emissions standard. Figures for five-seat versions are detailed in the table below:
