NEW NISSAN NV200 FRIDGE VAN REACHES OUT TO COOL CUSTOMERS

  • Bespoke refrigerated van aimed at fresh food and catering businesses
  • Ready-converted van comes with standard three-year Nissan warranty
  • Available now with prices starting at just £19,375

In response to strong fleet and business demand for a bespoke refrigerated vehicle, the Nissan NV200 Fridge van is now available from Nissan dealerships, with prices starting at £19,375.

The NV200 Fridge has been specially converted to meet the rigorous demands of the catering business and meet the highest standards of technical excellence. The new model can refrigerate to 0°C and still leave 2.2m³ of pure load space, designed to keep deliveries in optimum condition. This is all achieved through a conversion undertaken by European temperature-controlled specialist Gruau.

The interior is lined with an insulated cell, comprising moulded polyester-polyurethane panels to provide high-thermal efficiency and to maximise the volume of the van. The compact cooling unit fitted is manufactured by Carrier and is mounted on the roof, with a slight protrusion on top of the vehicle being the only external difference from the standard NV200.

Consumers are offered great peace of mind when purchasing the ready-converted vehicle direct from Nissan, as the standard three-year Nissan warranty covers both the insulated cell and the cooling unit.

The combination of the insulated cell and the cooling unit adds just 215kg to the weight of the vehicle, meaning the conversion makes little impact on the base NV200's performance.

The NV200 Fridge comes fitted with Nissan's 1.5 litre dCi turbodiesel engine, low on both fuel consumption and emissions. The van produces just 129g of CO2 emissions and delivers an impressive 57.7mpg, meaning users can go further between fill-ups.

The NV200 Fridge offers an overnight standby feature with the vehicle able to be plugged into a 230V socket to ensure the contents are kept cold. There is also a temperature indicator and control unit in the cab that allows conditions in the refrigerated compartment to be both monitored and controlled.

The standard NV200 Fridge, which is fitted with a pair of opening rear doors, starts at £19,375 while a version with an additional sliding side door is available from £19,675.

Barry Beeston, Nissan corporate sales director said: "A lot of great work has gone into developing the NV200 Fridge as the ideal solution for any fresh food company's transportation needs. With the conversion adding little weight to the vehicle, the driving quality and the nimble performance of the base NV200 is maintained. Customers will also take advantage over after-market conversions as the NV200 Fridge comes complete with our comprehensive three-year warranty."
