NISSAN PRIMASTAR IS GOING ON A SUMMER HOLIDAY

Nissan is opening up its expanding range of light commercials to a brand new audience by developing its very first motorcaravan conversion.

Based on the Primastar and developed in association with Reimo Motorcaravans of Hythe, it will ensure you and three friends can avoid the airport check-in queues and go away on a whim.

Badged as the Toscana, reviving memories of those lazy days spent on vacation in Italy, the Primastar has four berths - including a double bed - a sink, fridge, fresh water supply and a two burner cooker. A useful elevating roof is fitted ensuring that even the tallest of holidaymakers can stand up inside the vehicle. You can even spec up your Primastar to include double glazing and a useful portable potty.

It seems Reimo has thought of everything. To get maximum use from the vehicle when it’s not being used as a motorcaravan, it is equipped with a removable, sliding seating system with three point seatbelts enabling you to do the weekly trip to the tip or to pick up your kitchen cupboards from the local DIY superstore.

All of this kit adds to the already generous number of features you get as standard on the Primastar which includes power steering, electric windows and mirrors, a CD player, alarm, driver’s airbag, rear parking sensors and a 6-speed gearbox. Satellite navigation and air conditioning appear on the options list at £881 and £763 each to ensure you know where you are going and to ensure you stay cool on those hot balmy summer nights in Great Yarmouth…

The Primastar Toscana is available with the 100bhp 1.9 litre dCi or the bigger 135bhp 2.5 litre dCi diesel engines which cost £26,598 and £28,170 respectively. Both engines should help owners see 800 miles between visits to the pumps, enough to get from Newcastle to Newquay via the scenic route.

All enquiries should be directed through the Nissan dealer network.
