Nissan has recorded its best ever sales of commercial vehicles in 2003 with 8843 units which represents a 51.6% increase over 2002.
The growth is attributed to the increase in the fleet size, which now includes the ‘star’ models of Kubistar, Primastar and Interstar. These join the established, but slightly modified, versions of Terrano 4x4 van, Pickup and Cabstar.
The Pickup is the shining star with major volume increases year on year since its introduction back in February 2002. Sales are now at an all time high of 4601units in 2003 which is 102% (+2323) more than the previous 12 months, making it the highest percentage increase versus any of its close competitors.
To boost sales even further in 2004 Nissan is now offering, for the first time, a range of financial offers on its light commercial vehicle range. These relate to not only the ‘star’ line up but also every LCV, which includes Pickup and Terrano 4x4 van.

Kubistars can now be purchased from as little as £35.00 per week by using a two-year finance package with 0% interest and a 50% deposit. Applying this to the rest of the commercial vehicle range changes the weekly rates to the following:
Primastar £45
Interstar £55
Cabstar £50
Pickup £45
Terrano 4x4 van £55
If a 30% deposit is preferable the same weekly payments can be achieved by means of another finance offer incorporating an APR of 3.9%, based over three years, which fits in nicely with the standard manufacturer’s three year, 60,000 mile warranty.
Both packages have been designed to attract small and medium size business users looking for a cost-effective way of purchasing a new vehicle. If Contract Hire is the preferred method then similar competitive weekly rates can also be achieved with Nissan Finance available through the dealer network.
However, Nissan does not aim to stop there. By adding leather upholstery to its Navara Pickup option list, customers can now choose to have a more luxurious feel to their interior space. Available in shades of grey or charcoal the leather seats and door inserts can be factory fitted for £1000 plus VAT. Available to order now with first deliveries expected in mid-January.
With the largest ever choice, an increased option list and finance packages to suit all needs, Nissan is all set for a vantastic 2004.
