WILL NISSAN’S NEW NAVARA BE TOO MUCH FOR COREY?

Nissan’s all-new Navara pick-up and Primastar minibus make their UK debuts at this year’s CV show, heading one of the industry’s widest LCV line-ups – 51 different versions, at the last count – from the UK’s fastest growing van manufacturer. And Nissan will be inviting its very own TV celebrity, Corey Pasadena, to unveil the new vehicles.

The new European built Navara will share the same tough chassis as the recently launched Pathfinder SUV and offers a larger, more versatile load-bed as well as a new, common rail 174PS turbo diesel engine when it arrives in the UK in August.  The bigger and bolder Navara is more spacious and comfortable than the current model but equally capable across terrain.

Joining the Navara at the CV show will be the factory built Primastar minibus – a 1.9dCi short wheelbase low roof 2.9T, which will be available in two grades, E and SE. The minibus has two slide doors with opening windows, a rear glazed tailgate, accommodates nine people, and offers a high level of standard equipment including ABS and remote central locking.

The SE adds front power windows and mirrors, front passenger airbag, CD player and rear parking sensors.

Will Nissan’s new Navara be too much for Corey?...2

Nissan’s stand will be themed on the same lines as its new advertising campaign which features stunt bike rider Corey Pasadena.  He attempts to jump the 51 models in the Nissan LCV line up but finds there are 10 too many … with dramatic results.  Go to www.nissanvans.co.uk to find out more. Whilst Nissan’s stand is an impressive size this year, it is not quite big enough to fit all 51 variations.  But there is a representative vehicle from each of the 6 ranges.

Nissan will unveil the new Navara at 9.30am on 5 April in a show that should be worth seeing.  Nissan UK’s LCV chief, Mark Kinnard and 4x4 Brand Manager, Andrew Limbert, will be available to interview on the day.  If you would like to pre-book an interview slot, please contact Angela Farrance on 01923 899830.
