Simon Carr joined Nissan Motor (GB) Limited in December 1991 after two years at Citroën UK and nearly three years with Permutit Ltd. He was promoted to Fleet Director at the beginning of 1997 and is responsible for all aspects of Nissan’s Fleet Sales and Used Vehicle Remarketing.
Simon graduated from Natal University, Durban, South Africa in 1986 with a BSc (Industrial Chemistry) and joined Permutit Ltd. as a Design Sales Engineer.
Since joining Nissan as the Fleet Sales Support Manager, Simon has held a variety of key roles within the group. These included a foreign service assignment as Manager - Regional Marketing with Nissan South Africa (Pty) Ltd during 1995 before returning to the UK in 1996 as Marketing Programmes Manager for Nissan Motor (GB) Ltd.
In his time with Nissan, Simon has been actively involved with the considerable growth of Nissan in the UK fleet industry from 5,431 vehicles in 1991 to 54,793 vehicles in 1998.
